AVERY
REID

As a sophomore from Austin, Texas, I am excited about the opportunity to continue my passion and ride at a collegiate level. Currently competing in the 3'6 equitation, High Children's Jumpers, and 3'3 Junior Hunters, I have already produced top results and qualified and competed at prestigious finals. Some of my accomplishments include Reserve Champion in the Age Group Equitation out of 45 entries in WEF,  Zone 7 Year End Age Group Equitation Champion, THJA Age Group Equitation Year-End Champion, Best Child Rider on a Horse award, and recipient of the Wyatt McDaniel Sportsmanship Award. I train with Kalli Smith at Monarch Stables outside of Austin and Don Stewart of Don Stewart Stables when I am at equitation finals.

I attend a small private school in Austin where I am an active member in team sports, community service, and clubs. I was selected as a Blue Key Ambassador by my teachers and introduce new and prospective students to the campus making them feel at home. I am also a part of the Best Buddies non-profit program and frequently write to a student with Down Syndrome. Additionally, I am a member of the varsity soccer team where I enjoy competing on a team and working alongside others.

I believe that I would make a great addition to any team as I am very outgoing, fun-loving, and am dedicated to the sport. I am very excited about the recruiting process and this next chapter of my life!
